Everything you need to know about the Alvanley CC Stump Relay Fundraiser from Lords to Alvanley
Alvanley's four sightscreens are at the end of their life and a new set will cost £8500.
The idea is to raise this money by way of a sponsored Stump Relay from Lords to Alvanley over 6 days in October.

The stump that Simon Gee famously uprooted in stumping a Calmore CC batsman in 2021 will be taken back onto the Lords pitch and then heroically relayed back to Alvanley over 6 days.

Day 1.
The first leg will see the participants start a 15 mile walk to Watford from the Lords outfield. Lords have kindly granted us permission to spend a few minutes on the pitch before setting off on leg 1. Start time 1.30pm.
Day 2.
This is the first of two cycle days. If you do both accommodation will be arranged around Banbury. Exact, risk assessed route, will appear here
Day 3.
Day 2 of the cycle from Banbury to Wolverhampton. Exact, risk assessed route, will appear here
Day 4.
This is the first of two water-borne days. Kayak and paddle board are the modes of transport as the stump travels along the Shropshire Union Canal from Wolverhampton to Gnosall. If you do both water days accommodation will be arranged around Gnosall
Day 5.
Day 2 for Kayak / paddle board as the stump continues along the Shropshire Union Canal from Gnosall to Audlem.
Day 6.
The final day! The stump will start at Whitchurch at the beginning of the Sandstone trail. Depart at 7.30am. 26 miles to go along the trail which we break off from in Manley to walk along to the club.
Options to join the walk at Beeston (half a marathon!) or Gresty's Waste (7 miles) are available. Timings will appear here.
